Applications

Step 1

Cut off the pipe end at right angles, chamfer it from outside (15°) and debur it.

Step 2

Pre-clean and dry the surfaces to be bonded. Mark the fitting insertion depth on the pipe end.

Step 3

Apply Tangit PVC-U/PVC-C/ABS Cleaner on absorbent paper tissues and thoroughly clean the dry surfaces to be bonded.

Step 4

Use a new paper tissue for each cleaning operation.

Step 5

Stir the Tangit adhesive before use, then apply it lengthwise on both sides with a paint brush (thin coat inside the socket, generous coat on the pipe end), join the pipe and socket without twisting or jamming within the open time and hold
fast for several seconds.

Step 6

Do not expose the bonded joint to mechanical stress for at least 5 minutes.

Step 7

Wait 10-12 hours after the last bonding before lowering the pipes into the trench.

Step 8

Waiting time before start of operation and execution of a pressure test: 24 hours in the case of new installations, 1 hour per bar in the case of repair work.
